Weather alerts
Get email alerts when severe weather is forecast for your property's location.
Overview
Weather alerts help you stay informed when severe weather—storms, floods, heat, or other hazards—is predicted for your property. Alerts are delivered by email and include the alert summary, a link to iMaintain Copilot to help you prepare for the weather event, and links to manage your settings.
Weather alerts are available for US properties only and require a property with a valid address (latitude and longitude).
Enable weather alerts (account level)
Before enabling alerts for a property, the account must allow weather alerts:
- Open Settings for your team workspace.
- Find the Weather alerts card.
- Turn the toggle on to enable weather alerts for the account.
When the account toggle is off, no property in that workspace will receive weather alert emails.
Enable weather alerts (property level)
- Open a property.
- On the property Overview page, find the Weather alerts card.
- Turn the toggle on to enable alerts for that property.
The toggle is disabled if the account has weather alerts turned off, or if the property is outside the US.
Pause alerts
You can pause weather alerts for a property when you're away or don't need them:
- Open the property.
- In the Weather alerts card, click Pause.
- Choose how long to pause: 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.
Alerts resume automatically when the pause period ends. You can also Resume early if you change your mind.
Where alerts come from
Weather alerts use the National Weather Service (NWS) to fetch active alerts for your property's coordinates. Alerts are checked periodically; when a new or updated alert applies to your location, you receive an email with the alert details and a link to iMaintain Copilot, where the AI can assist you with preparation for the weather event.
