Where submissions go in your Inbox
See how public form submissions become Inbox messages tied to the right asset.
Overview
Every public message form submission goes to your iMaintain Inbox and stays linked to the asset from the QR code. That connection is what makes the message useful later.
After submission
After someone submits the form:
- iMaintain verifies the request.
- The message is linked to the asset for that QR code.
- The message appears in your Inbox.
- Any allowed attachments are included with the message.
- Attachments are analyzed when possible.
What you can do next
From the Inbox, you can:
- Review the message type, urgency, sender, and asset.
- Pin or flag the message for follow-up.
- Convert a maintenance issue into a task.
- Save useful attachments to asset files.
- Archive, mark as spam, or delete the message.
Why it matters
The submission does not arrive as a disconnected email or text. It starts attached to the asset, so the context is ready to become maintenance history, asset files, or a Copilot answer after review.
