Import your data
Bring your existing inventory into iMaintain from a spreadsheet or export—no starting over.
Overview
Many iMaintain users have already tracked their homes, rooms, and items for years—in Excel, Google Sheets, CSV exports, or simple text files. iMaintain makes it easy to bring that work with you.
If you’re migrating from another tool (including Centriq exports), you can upload your file, review what we detected, and import only what you want—nothing is added until you confirm.
What you can import today
Right now, importing focuses on inventory items (belongings).
You can upload:
- CSV (
.csv) - TSV (
.tsv) - Tab- or comma-delimited text files (
.txt)
We’ll analyze the file first so you can review items, pick what to import, and fill in any missing details before importing.
After importing, you can enrich items with photos, files, notes, and maintenance schedules—and use the iMaintain Copilot to get insights and guidance with your inventory as context.
How importing works
- Upload your file.
- Analyze it (we detect item rows and key columns).
- Review detected items and fix anything missing (like category).
- You can also create missing Properties and Spaces during review, then return to finish importing.
- Import selected items into your Inventory.
Built for migrations (Centriq and spreadsheets)
If you previously used Centriq to manage your inventory, iMaintain supports importing Centriq inventory exports so you can continue in a new solution without losing your history.
Resume later
You can close the import dialog and resume later by selecting a previous import from the Resume previous import dropdown.
